In some cultures, the old are more valued.

In some cultures, the old are more valued. However, in other cultures, the young are more valued. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

For long, the elderly assumes essential role in many communities. However, in other cultures, they are given inedequate evaluation, not like the youth is. In the following essay, the differences between the perspectives will be discussed.

On the one hand, senior citizens are of treasured experiences that are accumulative in their whole life. Anecdotal evidence shows that through their wide social relation as well as the interaction with people of dissimilar background, the olders possess practical experiences, valueable lessons that can not be seen in youngsters. Addtionally, in our ever changing society, young adults refer changing job periodicaly. Meanwhile, the recruiters give high weight to experienced applicants whose high commitment to their previous job – which is a very popular among aged groups. For example, the older is respected grouped in Japan culture, due to their life sacrifice, dedication to their career.

On the other hand, they are underestimated in other cultures, seeing that they have less contribution to society in comparation with the youth. Evidently, our life is increasing paced, requiring its members to have good adaptivity. In fact, people of modern generation can qualify more straightforwardly than their previous senior. They are dynamic, intiative, multi-functional, no enjoy the stability, no stike to certain mission like the olders. Futhermore, the phenomenon of giving low assessment to the elderly is partly derived from the greed as nature of human race. On the grounds physical, health limitation, the elder hardly earn as handsome income as their offspiring do. Therefore, consciously youngers show little respects to their senior.

In conclusion, the distinguishing in the role of the olders in cultures could be characteristic and sellfishness. In my opinion, modern citizens should better have wise consideration on the experiences and advices from their parents, earlier counterparts.
